Latency figures are estimates from great-circle distance: RTT ≈ 2 × distance ÷ 200 km/ms × 1.45 + 2 ms. Real routes vary.

Choosing a location

Four questions to ask.

Where are your users?

Distance drives latency: deploy where most of your traffic comes from, then add a second region if needed.

Where must data live?

Choose the EU, the UK, the US or Asia-Pacific to match your customers and data protection obligations.

What do you need to run?

GPU, Max and Storage servers are available in fewer cities; check each location page.

What is your failover plan?

For disaster recovery, keep a replica in a second location on another continent or region.

FAQ

Locations, answered.

Which location should I choose?

The one closest to most of your users, as long as it offers the configuration you need. Round-trip time grows by roughly 1 ms for every 70 km of fiber path, so distance matters more than anything else for interactive workloads.

Are all servers available everywhere?

Core 16 and Core 16X are available in all 10 locations. Pro, GPU, Max and Storage servers are available in fewer cities; each location page lists exactly what you can deploy there.

Can I connect servers in different locations?

Yes, over the public network with unmetered traffic. Free private VLANs connect servers within the same location; between locations, use a VPN such as WireGuard over the public network.

Where is my data stored?

Exactly where you deploy your server: data stays in the data center you choose and is not replicated elsewhere by us. Pick Amsterdam or Frankfurt for the EU, London for the UK, or the US and Asia-Pacific locations for those regions.
