1. Summary
The FlexDedi website does not set any cookies of its own while you browse. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and the site loads no third-party scripts or fonts. The only cookies you may receive are strictly necessary: security cookies set by Cloudflare, which delivers and protects our website, and a session cookie when you use the client area.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They can keep you signed in or remember a setting, and on many sites they are also used to track visitors for analytics and advertising. We do not use cookies, local storage or similar technologies for tracking.
3. Cookies Cloudflare may set
Cloudflare provides our content delivery network and protects the site against bots and attacks. To do this, it may set the following strictly necessary cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Helps distinguish people from automated bots, so legitimate visitors are not blocked | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Records that your browser passed a security challenge, so you are not challenged on every page | Short period set by our security settings |
These cookies are used only to protect the website. We do not use them for analytics or advertising, or to identify you. Cloudflare acts as our service provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. The client area
The FlexDedi client area, where customers find their servers and support tickets, uses one strictly necessary cookie:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
fd_session | Keeps you signed in and protects the client area's forms against cross-site request forgery | Until you close your browser. The session ends when you log out or after 12 hours of inactivity |
It is set only on the client area pages, such as log in, sign up and your account, never while you browse the rest of the website. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and it contains a random identifier, not your personal data.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
Privacy rules such as the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the GDPR require consent only for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, we do not need to ask for consent, and you will not see a cookie banner on our website. If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, we will ask for it first and update this policy.
6. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Security. If you block Cloudflare's cookies, you may see security checks more often, and you may not be able to pass a check while one is active. If you block the client area's session cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
