Looking glass and latency test
Estimate the round-trip time from your city to each FlexDedi location, measure your own connection, and request a test IP to check a real route before you order.

Estimated latency from your city
Closest location: New York, about 2 ms round trip.
New York0 km~2 ms
Ashburn350 km~7 ms
Dallas2,206 km~34 ms
Los Angeles3,936 km~59 ms
London5,570 km~83 ms
Amsterdam5,863 km~87 ms
Frankfurt6,203 km~92 ms
Tokyo10,852 km~159 ms
Singapore15,332 km~224 ms
Sydney15,989 km~234 ms
Estimates from great-circle distance: RTT ≈ 2 × distance ÷ 200 km/ms × 1.45 + 2 ms. Real routes vary.
Browser test
Measure your connection.
Runs 12 small requests to the nearest edge location serving flexdedi.com and reports the round-trip time and jitter of your connection. It does not measure the path to a specific data center.
Press start to measure. It takes about 3 seconds.
Before you expand
Test a real route with a test IP.
Adding a location? Open a support ticket with the city you are considering and where your users are. We give you a test IP there, so you can run ping, mtr or traceroute from your own network and see the actual path.
Request a test IP# 100 probes, wide report, with AS numbers
mtr --report --report-wide --aslookup -c 100 TEST_IP
# Or a quick round-trip check
ping -c 20 TEST_IPFAQ
Latency, answered.
Why are these numbers estimates?
They are computed from the great-circle distance between two cities, the speed of light in fiber and a typical routing overhead. Real latency depends on the networks between you and us, so it can be lower or higher than the estimate.
What does the browser test measure?
The round trip between your browser and the nearest edge location serving flexdedi.com, usually in or near your city. It shows the quality of your own connection, not the latency to a specific data center.
How much latency is acceptable?
As a rule of thumb, under 30 ms feels instant for games and interactive apps, under 80 ms is comfortable for most web applications, and APIs or batch jobs tolerate much more. Choose the location that keeps most of your users in the first band.
Can I test a real route before ordering?
Customers can: open a support ticket with the location you are considering, and we provide a test IP there so you can run ping, mtr or traceroute from your own network. Before your first order, use the estimates and the browser test on this page.
