FAQ
For production, mirror the two 1.92 TB NVMe Gen4 drives with software RAID 1, using mdadm or ZFS, for 1.92 TB of redundant storage. If your application replicates data elsewhere, you can use them as separate volumes for 3.84 TB. Our guide to software RAID on NVMe with mdadm walks through the mirror setup.
Core 16X costs $100/mo more and adds 3D V-Cache (128 MB of L3 instead of 64 MB), higher clocks (4.3 / 5.7 GHz instead of 3.0 / 5.4 GHz), 192 GB of memory and 2 × 3.84 TB of NVMe. Choose Core 16 when 128 GB and 1.92 TB of mirrored storage are enough; choose Core 16X for cache-sensitive work such as game servers and simulation, or when you need the extra memory and storage.
Core 16 is pre-racked and burn-in tested in every location, and is usually delivered within 15 minutes of payment with your chosen operating system installed. IPMI and an HTML5 KVM console are available from the start, so you can also boot a custom ISO.
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Debian 12 or 13 are common choices for web and API servers, and AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux suit RHEL-compatible stacks. Windows Server and Proxmox VE are also one-click images, and any other system can be installed from a custom ISO through the KVM console.
Usually ready within 15 minutes of payment, with unmetered traffic, DDoS protection and IPMI included.
